What is PRX PRO?
PRX is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that uses a combination of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and hydrogen peroxide. It helps treat fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin texture and tone, tightens and lifts the skin, reduces hyperpigmentation and dark spots, and stimulates collagen production.
What does it feel like?
The treatment involves applying a thin layer of PRX solution to the skin, which is then massaged in. This causes a controlled micro-exfoliation, stimulating the skin's natural regeneration process. There is a slight itchy sensation that accompanies the treatment.
How do I prepare for treatment?
No preparation is required on the clients part before treatment. You do not have to remove makeup before your treatment, however the providers will cleanse your face for you to leave a clean base for treatment.
Who can get PRX PRO?
PRX treatment is generally safe for most skin types, including sensitive and darker complexions. However, it is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with active acne, or those with certain skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis.
PRX PRO vs PRX PRO PLUS
PRX derm perfexion is designed for general skin rejuvenation, texture improvement, and addressing concerns like fine lines, rosacea, and acne scars, while PRX Plus (part of the PRX Professional™ line) is formulated to target pigmentation issues like melasma and sun damage. Both are topical biostimulators that offer a no-downtime, no-peel treatment, but they have different primary ingredients and purposes.
